President Aoun: Lebanon’s Strength Lies in its People’s Roots, Resilience
No fear for Lebanon’s future
President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Thursday emphasized that there is no fear for Lebanon’s future as long as its people remain rooted in their homeland.
Speaking at Baabda Palace during a meeting with a delegation from Deir al-Qamar, he stressed the importance of the recent municipal and mayoral elections, noting their role in injecting new energy into local governance and development.
Aoun highlighted the critical role of municipalities in managing local affairs and serving citizens, expressing hope that Lebanon can seize available opportunities to set itself back on the path of recovery. He praised the contributions of Lebanese talents at home and abroad, stating: “Our people’s resilience is our greatest asset.”
The delegation invited President Aoun to attend the August 3 celebration of Our Lady of the Hill—an event traditionally attended by Lebanese Presidents. Aoun thanked them and wished continued prosperity for Deir al-Qamar.
