Hezbollah: Only Official Statements Represent Our Position

Party warns against citing unverified or anonymous sources

Hezbollah’s Media Relations Office issued a statement on Thursday urging all media outlets, journalists, and analysts to exercise the highest standards of accuracy, objectivity, and professionalism when reporting on matters related to the party. The statement emphasized that only official communications issued by Hezbollah’s authorized bodies should be considered valid representations of its stance.

The statement reads:
“Hezbollah’s Media Relations Office reiterates that the party does not speak through what is commonly referred to as ‘a source within Hezbollah,’ ‘a responsible source,’ or any similar phrasing. Therefore, any information attributed to such so-called sources is, in our view, entirely unfounded—both in substance and in form—and should not be regarded as representing Hezbollah’s official position.”

Hezbollah also criticized the circulation of information in the media attributed to “sources close to Hezbollah” or “sources familiar with Hezbollah’s views,” stating that such reports do not reflect the party’s actual positions. According to the statement, these are merely personal interpretations or fabricated sources used for politically motivated purposes.

In this context, Hezbollah once again called on all media professionals to rely solely on official statements issued by the party’s competent bodies and to refrain from attributing to it any information based on unverifiable or unofficial “sources,” which should be treated as unauthorized and invalid.

Hezbollah further invited media institutions to contact its official media offices for any clarification regarding the party’s positions or assessments of current events.
