In a pivotal meeting held on Friday at the Grand Serail, Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, welcomed the Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund, Mahmoud Mohieldin. The meeting underscored discussions on the evolving relationship between Lebanon and the IMF.

"Today's meeting with Prime Minister Mikati is part of a series of engagements with various Lebanese officials to review the relations between Lebanon and the IMF. It also aims to prepare for the upcoming visit of a Lebanese delegation, led by the Deputy Prime Minister, scheduled mid-this month to Washington to participate in IMF meetings,” Mohieldin stated on emerging.

Responding to inquiries, Mohieldin refuted any suggestions that the IMF has intentions to cancel the agreement signed with Lebanon.
