Alliances have changed, but there is a historical landmark that cannot be overlooked

There is no doubt that the meetings of the former president of the Progressive Socialist Party, Walid Jumblatt, with Hezbollah, take on future dimensions, despite the fundamental differences over the weapon and its legitimacy, and the repercussions of the events of May 7, 2008, but reconciliation has taken place, alliances have changed, and the rapprochement is clear between Jumblatt and the party, but this date cannot be overlooked or even forgotten.

Jumblatt returned to play a role in the political alliances to keep the "PSP" active in Lebanese politics, so he hastens to visit Ain al-Tineh, meeting with President Nabih Berri to highlight the national headlines, in order to fortify the Lebanese position on one hand, and to support the Palestine and the Lebanese on the other hand.

Many are the political stations that carried his fingerprints, and based on the wide range of international and regional relations that he formulated, which made him one of the most important "readers" of strategic political transformations, from here he suddenly traveled to France and held meetings with French officials, culminating in a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, whose goal was to push towards the success of the Paris initiative and accelerate the implementation of the French paper with all its items.

Contrary to what some are trying to explain or popularize that MP Taymur Jumblatt (his son) is present at the head of the PSP only nominally, sources close to the "Mukhtara", consider that the head of the party has become the owner of a decision and a clear political opinion, and in various files and issues, and it can be said that Taymur has become a political man in every sense of the word.

Sources in contact with the "Akhbar al-Yawm" agency indicate that Taymur deliberately consecrated the change approach in the Progressive Socialist Party, as at the level of political decisions inside Lebanon, and the Druze socialist environment in particular.
