Objective: to meet with the FL on national constants

The head of the Free Patriotic Movement, MP Gebran Bassil, is trying to get closer to the Lebanese Forces party, especially after moving away from its Shiite ally "Hezbollah", in order to reserve a seat in a Christian alliance that may see the light under the auspices of the Maronite reference "Bkerki", which it seeks to gather Christians around urgent national issues, such as the Christian absence from the public sector, constitutional entitlements, state sovereignty and exclusivity of weapons, but the question being asked by political observers right now is: Will Bassil be able to push other Christian authorities, including the Lebanese Forces to walk with him in any battle in the future?

All this is taking place at a time when Maarab still refuses to communicate with the head of the FPM or even coordinate with him directly, especially as it raises questions about Bassil's political credibility and his influential positions in the Christian community, as he always determines the options that suit him.

Sources following the Bassil movement believe that the latter has set traps for the LF several times, starting from violating the Maarab agreement after the election of General Michel Aoun to the presidency of the Republic, considering that he is trying today to gather the Christian against Hezbollah and reduce its power, which has a political character controlling all the joints of the state, which led to the disruption of the presidential elections.

On the other hand, people close to "Mirna Shalouhi", via the "Akhbar al-Yawm" agency, say that the goal today is to meet with the LF on national saving constants, especially those related to the weapons of the party, the style of government and the violation of the Constitution.

Finally, will the Lebanese Forces respond to Bassil's invitation in the near future?
