Beirut ranked 290th among 549 cities globally and sixth among 31 Arab cities surveyed by the semi-annual study for the year 2023 prepared by the global database Numbeo on the cost of living, and ranked the most expensive city among 70 cities in low-to middle-income countries and came higher than about 47% of the cities covered in the survey.
