PM Salam Meets Arab Fund, Anti-Corruption Delegation

There is a historic opportunity that must be seized

Prime Minister, Dr. Nawaf Salam, on Wednesday received a delegation from the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, headed by its Chairman and Director General Bader Mohammed Al-Saad, in the presence of Chairman of the Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR),  Nabil El-Jisr.

During the meeting, Premier Salam welcomed the delegation in Lebanon, hailing the historic relations between Lebanon and the Fund, "which is a key partner for development in the country." Salam expressed hope that "cooperation would continue and expand to include all areas, based on priorities.”

Premier Salam expressed optimism about the future, particularly in light of this Arab interest, noting that "there is a historic opportunity that must be seized to achieve progress in various fields and sectors."

Following the meeting, Al-Saad said: “We were honored to visit the Prime Minister, and the meeting was very positive. The goal is the Arab Fund’s commitment to Lebanon and its role in past and future projects."

Al-Saad added: ”The meeting was very positive. There was optimism and high expectations, and we assured Premier Salam that this expectation would be met in cooperation with the Lebanese government.”

 On the other and, Premier Salam received a delegation from the Lebanon Certified Anti-Corruption Managers LCACM, headed by its President Gina Chammas, and attended by Professor Mike Masoud, a representative of the American Anti-Corruption Institute (AACI) in the Middle East and Africa.

The delegation presented a number of proposals to combat corruption.
