Details of the deal and his scandalous legal violation

In light of all the accelerated and dangerous developments that are hitting the country, it seems that everything that is happening today in the judiciary is a "war of powers". The Criminal Investigation judge Tarek al-Bitar suddenly received an American call. This call reminded him of legal materials so that he could work again in the port's investigations despite his suspension.

A well-informed source revealed that the plan was launched 3 months ago when the Tenure ended and the state was disrupted, and then Al-Bitar received communications and instructions, and he does not deny the Americans' communication with him.

The source added: "one goal: chaos and set the country on fire!"

He continues: Tarek al-Bitar had been intending since 3 months to release all the detainees in order to embarrass the discriminatory prosecutor, judge Ghassan Oweidat, by returning to work and that he has legitimacy for himself, although he was suspended from working on the file of investigations into the explosion of the Beirut port. Yesterday, Oweidat released all the detainees.

In response to a question, the source indicates that Al-Bitar returned to his work, prompted by Europeans and Americans, to implement a special agenda to strike the security services after the arrest of their leaders, especially state security and Public Security, which would have led to additional chaos in the street, as happened in the revolution of October 17, 2019, where it became known that foreign countries were managing what happened.

In the same context, he points out that the decision of the US ambassador to Lebanon Dorothy Shea was very firm: "the American citizen Mohammed Ziad al-Ouf (one of the detainees in the case) is free otherwise...", as the US considers him a prisoner and hostage in Lebanon. Al-Ouf is now out of Lebanon and arrives in America a few hours later. Al-Bitar had started an initial process of releasing detainees, the aim of which was to release al-Ouf in the second batch in order to not to appear as an American tool in front of the Lebanese.

The source points out that Al-Bitar is today trying to undermine the judiciary and hit its foundations, and everything he has been doing since the weekend is contrary to the law, especially in terms of his request to directly prosecute Oweidat. Article 354 of the code of criminal procedure stipulates that "If the President of the Higher Council of the Judiciary, the President of the Council of State, the Public Prosecutor at the Court of Cassation, the President of the Audit Court or the President of the Judicial Inspectorate commits an offence that constitutes either a misdemeanour or a felony outside the context of, during or in connection with the performance of his duties, he shall be tried before a panel composed of five Judges appointed by a decree of the Council of Ministers based on a proposal by the Minister of Justice. The members of the panel shall be selected from among active Judges or retired Judges holding honorary office on condition that no Judge whose level is lower than level XVII is selected”.

As for Judge Al-Bitar, the source continues, he considered himself a council of ministers and higher than the discriminatory Prosecutor General, applied non-existent texts and jurisprudence that had never been heard of in the judicial community, and acted in a dictatorial manner that had nothing to do with the law, and for this reason Judge Ghassan Oweidat accused him of "usurping power", which is a criminal punishment, and from this point of view, Oweidat can be considered right about the matter because what happened was hitting the law and the judiciary in all ways and inventing a non-existent authority.
