Will Lebanon’s Bread Prices Rise with Soaring Diesel Costs?

Price stability remains a top priority

Minister of Economy and Trade, Dr. Amer Bisat, on Tuesday met with a delegation from the Bakery Owners’ Syndicate, headed by Nasser Srour, alongside Syndicate Secretary Naeem Al-Khawaja and Director General of Grains and Sugar Beet at the Ministry, Issam Abou Jaoudeh.

Minister Bisat reiterated that no increase will be made to the price of bread despite rising diesel prices. He thanked the Syndicate for its cooperation and emphasized that safeguarding food security and price stability remains a top priority for the Ministry.
