President Aoun Concludes Official Visit to Kuwait, Strengthening Bilateral Relations

Two-day official visit

President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Monday departed Kuwait, concluding a   two-day official visit to Kuwait, during which he held talks with the Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, at the Amiri Diwan.

The Kuwaiti Emir affirmed to President Aoun "Kuwait's commitment to supporting Lebanon and strengthening Kuwaiti-Lebanese and Gulf relations."

In turn, President Aoun thanked the Emir of Kuwait for "the affection he showed towards Lebanon and for Kuwait's support for the Lebanese people."

 The Emir of Kuwait informed President Aoun of the decision to raise the level of diplomatic representation between Kuwait and Lebanon, with the aim of strengthening bilateral relations and restoring them to their optimal state. 

President Aoun extended an official invitation to the Emir of Kuwait to visit Lebanon, which the latter duly promised to fulfill.
