Mahfoud: The continuation of Al-Qard Al-Hassan is a threat to Lebanon’s sovereignty in parallel with the continuation of an illegal economy.

The president of the Movement for Change Party, lawyer Elie Mahfoud, pointed out that the continuation of Al-Qard Al-Hassan is a threat to Lebanon’s sovereignty in parallel with the continuation of an illegal economy.

Mahfoud said in a statement that the financial and economic damage inflicted by the association called Al-Qard Al-Hassan is no less dangerous than the continued presence of weapons with the militia group under the title of resistance.

The Lebanese state is faced with the option of deciding by imposing its presence and function in terms of suppressing and preventing any source of threat to the financial sovereignty of the Lebanese Republic, and it has no choice but to activate the regulatory agencies, as Lebanon’s sovereignty is threatened by the continuation of an illegal parallel economy.
