Transitional phase may last for a year or two

MP Mark Daw says that "the people react to all events as they happen. As for the political awareness of the masses, it is the duty of the parties, by presenting their vision and convincing the public opinion that listens to all parties".

He considered in an interview with the "Akhbar al-Yawm" agency "that this work is required of the parties in Lebanon during the next stage as well. Each party should put forward its vision of where the country should go after the stage we have reached, and we will see who convinces people".

"We are in a transitional phase now, the full circumstances of which have not yet been fully clarified, that is, we are in an era similar to what it was in 2005, for example, or in 1990, before things settle down later", he said.

He concluded: "The current transitional phase may last for a year or two, before the country stabilizes. All options are open, and the big challenge is for all concerned and officials to prove the foundations of the next stage that Lebanon will enter", he said.
