Polling stations open in Iran for presidential elections

The polling stations opened Friday at 8 a.m. local time in Iran for the presidential election to replace President Ebrahim Raisi, who died in a helicopter accident on May 19, announced the interior minister.

Four candidates - three conservatives and a reformer - are vying for this election in which 61 million voters are expected to participate.
