Antoine Habib: loans in Lebanese pounds and there is no need to panic
Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Housing Bank, Antoine Habib, announced via the "Kalam Mawzoun" program from the "Akhbar al-Yawm" agency about new loans from the bank in Lebanese pounds, specifying the necessary conditions.
Habib said that the main goal of establishing the bank is to support low-income people to find a home and thus stop the migration of young people, revealing the start of giving loans that stopped after the events of 2019, pointing out that the housing loan ceiling is one billion lira in installments over 30 years at 5% interest, but there are conditions that must be adhered to, in addition to the solar energy loan with a ceiling of 300 million in installments over a period of 5 years, and it also has its conditions.
Habib asserted that the Housing Bank's loans are in Lebanese pounds and the borrower repays them in lira, saying: "There is no need to panic if the loan is converted to any other currency".
