Although the fate of the next legislative elections (May 2022) is still unknown, most political forces, parties and civil society components have started to prepare for this experience, whether by training the electoral team or through consultations to form alliances or to agree on the titles and programs of electoral campaigns.
Logistically and administratively, the Supervisory Commission for Elections SCE is ready to monitor, and the Ministry of interior is working on the preparations and efforts are put to involve the diaspora.
In this regard, the Lebanese Forces consider that change can only be achieved in peacetime through parliamentary elections and ballot boxes, according to the party's media and communications manager, Charles Jabbour.
Jabbour confirmed to the "Akhbar Al-Yawm" agency that the LF rely heavily on the elections, considering that most of the party's efforts are focused on the electoral aspect by mobilizing all capacities and potentials of the party, all the regional, political and national contacts to achieve this goal, because our parliamentary representation decides our national influence ”.
Jabbour believes that elections are the only way to help change existing policies
As for political alliances, "It is too early to talk about it", according to Jabbour, stressing that the LF at the moment are preparing for these elections as if we have no allies by relying on the strength of our supporters.
In the same context, Jabbour clarified that the "LF" do not establish any electoral alliance that contradicts its political principles and its national orientations, therefore, any electoral alliance will be an integral part of these convictions.
He concluded: "We are getting ready and at this time we are far from making alliances".
