According to exclusive information obtained by "Akhbar Al-Yawm", the participation of Lebanon’s newly appointed Central Bank Governor, Karim Souaid, in a Cabinet session prior to his official appointment helped address concerns and clarify key points. His scientific approach, clear vision, and independence left a strong impression on the ministers.

During the session, Souaid responded transparently to all raised issues, including media speculation, with his statements formally recorded in the session’s minutes as a commitment before the government.

He outlined his priorities, emphasizing the protection of depositors' rights, equitable responsibility distribution, a structured approach to financial priorities, and a commitment to transparency and accountability. Souaid also clarified that he has no financial or professional ties to Antoun Sehnaoui or any bank beyond being a regular client.
