Hamieh: Public Works Ministry completes key road maintenance projects for 2024

Plans for comprehensive rehabilitation in 2025

Caretaker Minister of Public Works and Transportation, Ali Hamieh, announced that the ministry has finalized the tendering and approval processes for most of the road maintenance and restoration projects included in Lebanon’s 2024 budget.

He stated that the implementation of these projects will begin gradually, factoring in weather conditions and the specific requirements of each project. Hamieh also noted that the recent aggression on Lebanon directly impacted the completion of some works.

Looking forward, the minister shared that preparations for projects under the 2025 budget are underway. These will prioritize "comprehensive rehabilitation" rather than just maintenance and restoration.
