Bassma hosted its Christmas concert "A Christmas Carol for Hope
At the Church of the Miraculous Medal
On Thursday, December 26th, the Bassma Association successfully hosted its Christmas concert, "A Christmas Carol for Hope," at the Church of the Miraculous Medal.
This event was organized in collaboration with the renowned vocal ensemble Les Solistes de Beyrouth, under the direction of Maestro Fernando Affara.
The program took the audience on a captivating musical journey through Christmas traditions, featuring Baroque, Classical, Romantic works, traditional carols, and beloved film scores. All pieces were specially rearranged for the occasion by Antoune Dib, a professor at the National Conservatory. The choir was accompanied by a string quartet and an organ, creating a festive and memorable atmosphere.
The event welcomed distinguished guests from the social, political, artistic, and educational spheres, demonstrating their support for Bassma's impactful mission.
Since 2002, Bassma, a Lebanese charitable organization, has been committed to empowering families in need by helping them achieve financial independence through a range of social and humanitarian initiatives.
As for Les Solistes de Beyrouth, they are celebrated as the region’s only operatic vocal ensemble comprised entirely of professional singers with exceptional voices. In a short time, they have risen to become a leading name on the regional musical scene.
