Lebanon's health ministry said three people were killed Thursday in an Israeli strike that targeted a car at the main entrance to the southern city of Sidon.
"The Israeli enemy's raid on a car in Sidon resulted in the deaths of three people and the injury of three others," the ministry said in a statement.
U.N. peacekeepers were wounded on Thursday's strike, the official National News Agency said.
"Enemy aircraft targeted a car in Sidon near the army checkpoint," NNA said, adding vehicles from the UNIFIL peacekeeping force were in the "same lane" during the raid, which led to injuries among its members who were receiving treatment at the scene.
