The media office at the Ministry of energy and water denied "the issuance of any statement referring to restrictive measures that will take place in the coming days related to the opening hours of gas stations, and the amount of liters that can be purchased per car", saying that "the publication of such news serve only the interests of the Zionist enemy inside Lebanon".

"The release of similar rumors is aimed only at weakening the citizen's confidence in his country, which the Ministry of energy is striving to re-establish", it said.

The ministry's statement concluded: "the Ministry of energy, assuring the citizen that hydrocarbon derivatives are available in the market with the usual quality, at official prices and the necessary quantities, and calls on those concerned to be careful when publishing such news, and refer to the relevant official sources to confirm before publication".
