Closed meeting kicks off in Bkerki to discuss the Syrian refugee crisis in Lebanon

A closed-door meeting has commenced at the Patriarchal Seat in Bkerki to discuss the Syrian refugee crisis in Lebanon.

The meeting is organized by the Maronite Center for Research and Documentation under the presidency of Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros al-Rahi. It is attended by the Minister of Interior Judge Bassam Mawlawi, representing Prime Minister Najib Mikati, Minister of Social Affairs Hector Hajjar, Minister of Displaced Persons Issam Sharafeddine, Minister of Justice Henry Khoury, Minister of Education Abbas Halabi, Army Commander General Joseph Aoun, MP Neemat Ephrem, representatives of the security agencies' leaders, a number of governors, the Maronite Center's President Bishop Samir Mazloum, members of the advisory, legal, and constitutional committees at the Patriarchal Seat, and several experts in the Syrian refugee file.
