The Military Court of Cassation postponed the trial session of the defendants in the events of Khaldeh to next October 16, due to the absence of lawyer Antoine Saad, the representative of the defense of two defendants in the case.
Saad sent a lawyer for training, knowing that the Court of Cassation does not accept the representation of lawyers in training before it. The court waited for Saad's arrival for about forty minutes. He arrived, but the session had been postponed before his arrival.
This situation has caused discontent among the families and some lawyers in the case.
Deputy Ashraf Rifi wrote on the "X" platform: "Today, the Military Cassation Court is holding a session to consider the case of the attack on the residents of Khaldeh by Hezbollah militants. The families, and we, hope and bet that justice will be served to remove the injustice against the detainees, and that this case will be concluded in a way compatible with the necessities of truth, coexistence, and civil peace. »
