After yesterday's Foreign Ministry statement about Lebanon's Ambassador to Paris Rami Adwan, informed sources told AkhbarAl-Yawm that Adwan sent "threatening" message to the leader of the "Free Patriotic Movement" Gebran Bassil, stating that any waiver of his extradition to French justice will mean that the assault will disclose all the information he knows about Bassil and everything he asked of him during his stay at the French Embassy as before, which prompted Bassil to ask Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib to protect the aggression under the provisions of the Vienna Convention and to refuse to waive his immunity.

In this context, diplomatic sources explain that the maximum that the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs can do is to withdraw Adwan to Beirut after investigating him, in order to ensure his protection.
