There is nothing new to report on the presidential entitlement until now, as the situation is still the same and there is no significant development at this level, according to prominent parliamentary sources.

These sources explained via "Akhbar al-Yawm" agency that the opposition and the Free Patriotic Movement did not agree on the name of a candidate for the presidency of the Republic, and therefore the determination of a session to elect the president of the Republic is waiting for a clear picture regionally and internationally, where things are still the same, while an internal dilemma looms on the horizon as attention turns to the status of the bank's governor and what developments will result in light of the caretaker government's inability to appoint a new governor of the central bank.

Noting that the fate of this post is linked to the election of a president and the formation of a new government, the sources saw the existence of some dead ends, expressing their fear of the negative impact on the financial and monetary situation on the Lebanese scene, which requires the development of an economic emergency plan to face everything in order to avoid the chaos.

The sources express their belief that the Lebanese situation has become undoubtedly linked to the regional situations and it is necessary to move towards the presidential elections within a comprehensive settlement, which may need at least two or three months to take shape and thus achieve the entitlement that the Arab Summit held in Jeddah urged to accomplish last week.
