MP Fouad Makhzoumi highlighted the need to take advantage internally of the regional situation to get out of the difficult crisis that the country is going through. "The dollar has crossed the threshold of one hundred thousand and the lira has lost its value, in contrast, after about a year after the initial agreement with the IMF, no reform has been carried out,"he said after meeting Mufti Abdel Latif Derian.

Makhzoumi praised the "interest of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Lebanon", recalling"the five umbrellas that protected Lebanon during the past period, especially the initiative that reached us through the state of Kuwait and its content that they are ready to help us, but in return there are constants and conditions that we must abide by, as it is no longer possible to help Lebanon if it continues to intervene outside its borders".
