Former minister Rashid Derbas considered that the external solution may take a long time and that the internal one, depending on the declared positions, is still blocked.

In an interview with the Voice of all Lebanon, Derbas said that the words of the head of the Free Patriotic Movement, MP Gebran Bassil, yesterday after a recent meeting with a delegation from the leadership of Hezbollah, are evidence that the parties have reached a dead end in the presidential election.

Derbas stressed that the Qatari role is not only oil, and he did not rule out that Qatar is trying to open some gaps, as the economic detente may contribute to a political breakthrough.
