The deputy and candidate for president Michel Moawad stressed that "there is an advance in the number of votes in my favor", stressing that "the opposition must build bridges between them, because differences lead to fragmentation".

Moawad added, in a statement after the election session of the President of the Republic: "I must take risks to save Lebanon, and I would rather fight a difficult battle than be a false witness to the collapse of the country".

"Let them propose a rescue and sovereign candidate, and I will be the first to support him".

The results of the seventh session to elect a president were as follows: Michel Moawad 42 Issam Khalifeh 6 Badri Daher 1 Ziad Baroud 2 White Paper 50 New Lebanon 8 Cancelled 1.
