Secretary-General of the High Relief Commission Major General, Mohammed Khair, announced in a statement: "The bodies of the martyrs of the Al-Akari family who were rescued from the sea in Syria because of the sinking of the boat carrying them, the father, the mother and their four children, have been found. They will be handed over to their families in Akkar after the Lebanese Red Cross has received them from the Syrian Red Crescent. »

The boat had left a few days ago from the coast of northern Lebanon and on board asylum seekers of Lebanese, Palestinian and Syrian nationalities, and their destination was one of the European countries.
