Egyptian star Mohamed Salah set a new record during his Liverpool match against hosts Fulham, which brought them together on Saturday in the opening round of the Premier League.

In the 80th minute of the game, held at the Kravin Cottage Stadium in London, Salah managed to score the tie for the Reds and saved him from defeat.

Salah's eighth goal in the opening matches of the Premier League is equivalent to the numbers of the English trio Alan Shearer, Frank Lampard, and Wayne Rooney, as the most scoring players in the first round of the competition, according to the British newspaper "Daily Mail".

The Egyptian star is Liverpool’s third-highest Premier League scorer with 119 goals, surpassing legend Michael Owen’s record with 118.
