The Minister of Environment in the caretaker government, Nasser Yassin, announced that the silos of the port of Beirut are divided into two parts, the northern and southern side, the southern side being fixed and stable until now and they are subject to permanent monitoring, while the northern side is the one that was most damaged by the explosion, pointing out that the decision of the Council of Ministers was to demolish it and this matter waited for two years out of respect for the victims of the explosion, which led to its collapse, and even the investigative judge announced that he no longer needed to collect any evidence from it and could demolish it, stressing that there are no toxic substances emitted from the fall of the silos and we are constantly examining Beirut’s air and over the course of several days with specialists in the army, universities and relevant ministries.
