Arab Parliament Warns of Dangerous Excavations Targeting Al Aqsa's Foundations

| Sunday 03 July 2022

The Arab Parliament warned of the danger of the continued Israeli occupation's excavations around the blessed Al Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, targeting its foundations, in addition to preventing the Islamic Endowment Department in the city from repairing and maintaining the mosque in order to protect its structure.
The Arab Parliament condemned in a statement today the Israeli plan to register lands around Al Aqsa Mosque for Jews, in an attempt to Judaize and seize large areas in the occupied city of Jerusalem, and to change the historical and religious landmarks of the city.
The statement called on the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and all relevant international organizations to assume their responsibilities to stop the ongoing aggression against Jerusalem and its holy sites through practical and effective measures. Furthermore, the parliament called for the sending of a fact-finding committee by the United Nations in order to review the situation in Jerusalem, especially the excavations that are being conducted around the clock under the Al Aqsa Mosque.
The Arab Parliament affirmed its full support for Jerusalemites in their steadfastness to protect this great Islamic edifice, directing its salute and honor to Jerusalemites, men, women, and children, for their defense of Jerusalem and the protection of the blessed Al Aqsa Mosque. Moreover, the parliament also called on the international community to take immediate and urgent action to stop these violations against religious sanctities. (QNA)
