PM designate Najib Mikati has focused on accelerating the formation of the government, on the basis of what has been agreed since last September, namely the formula of 24 ministers and retaining most of them.

According to informed circles, through the "Akhbar Al Yawm" agency, Mikati this morning presented President Michel Aoun with a "final list" complete with names and bags, which is a revised version of the current government with an amendment that included five bags, namely: economy, interior, energy and foreign affairs... At the Sunni level, it seems that Mikati replaced all those who declared the desire or expressed the intention to run for the presidency of the government or to put his name in this position, and it will be in favor of the Sunni deputies who appointed him and expressed the desire to participate in the government, in the first rank of which the bloc of deputies of "National Moderation".

The media pointed out that the formation will be subject to modification between President Aoun and Mikati, and that it will be ready before Blessed Eid al-Adha.

The same circles conclude: the PM-designate has maintained familiarity with the current situation, has gone "three-quarters of the way" retaining the bulk of previously agreed ministers.
