The President signed a decree forming the “National Council for Price Policies” for the first time since the decision of its establishment in 1974.

President Aoun was briefed about the preparations for the International Conference for Dialogue on the "Document on Human Fraternity".

President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, signed Decree 9334 of May 27, 2022.

The decree stipulates forming the National Council for Price Policy “in the Ministry of Economy and Trade, which constitutes the following:

Minister of Economy and Trade, Director General, Director General of Central Statistics, Director General of the Ministry of Economy and Trade, Director General of the Ministry of Trade, Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Director General of the Ministry of Tourism, Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Director General of the Ministry of Tourism, Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Director General  Ministry of Commerce, Director of Economy and Economic Research in the Bank), President of the Association of Lebanese Industrialists, President of the Association of Banks in Lebanon, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Business, and, and three representatives of the General Labor Union: Dr. Bechara Al-Asmar (President of the General Labor Union), Mr. Hassan Fakih  (Vice-Chairman), and Mr. Saad Eddin Hamidi Saqr (Secretary General).

It is noteworthy that the "National Council for Price Policy" is a national council with distinction that includes all accredited and subscribers of the European Union.

This policy and general and technical practices operate, according to what was announced by the Minister of Economy and Trade.

Delegation of the "Center for Studies and Training on Citizenship":

The President met a delegation from the "Tamouz for Studies and Training on Citizenship", headed by Dr. Adonis Al-Akra.

Dr. Al-Akra briefed President Aoun on the ongoing preparations for holding a regional conference organized by the Center under the title: “The Document on Human Fraternity issued by the Holy See and Al-Azhar Al-Sharif: Religion in the Public Space”, in which Lebanese, Arab and international personalities and delegations will participate.

Dr. Al-Akra also explained that the conference will hold sessions dealing with many topics about the document, the titles of which are: The Human Fraternity Document in its two messages, the liberation of the believer and the liberation of the citizen, tolerance and its limits.

For his part, President Aoun praised the activities carried out by the center, which fall within the framework of the goals for which it was established in 2019.

The delegation also included Drs: Khalil Khairallah, Suzanne Moneim, Hanna Al-Hajj, Blanch Abi Assaf, Claude Qurji, Hassan Al-Akra, and Kamal Bakassini.
