The announcement by the United Nations General Assembly to suspend the right to vote for 11 countries due to the late payment of the dues of the contributions stipulated in the Charter of the United Nations, sparked an interaction among activists on social networking sites.

According to Article 19 of the Charter of the United Nations, a member of the United Nations that is in arrears in the payment of its financial contributions to the Organization shall not have the right to vote in the General Assembly if the value of its arrears equals or exceeds the value of the contributions due from it for the preceding two full years.

And it appears in the United Nations statement published on its official website on the 10th of this month that the list of the 11 countries includes Iran, Somalia and Sudan on the side of the Comoros.
