In his attack on the leader of the Lebanese Forces Party, Samir Geagea, and in his concern for Sunni voices and what they represent, the leader of the Free Patriotic Movement, MP Gebran Bassil, tried to tickle the feelings of the former Prime Minister Saad Hariri and awaits a reaction from him or that they communicate in some way which reopens the channels between the two men in order to succeed in restoring the friendship between them and the alliance in the next parliamentary elections.

It is said that in politics there are no permanent enmities or friendships, and then MP Bassil has the right to practice this method, but if he succeeds again with Hariri, he has to give up a lot of which he calls the constants of his policy and the policy of the Free Patriotic Movement.

He must first convince the Aounist base that former Prime Minister Hariri is not corrupt and does not violate the constitution and the powers of the President of the Republic, and that all the accusations against him were in a verbal context, no more no less. .

He must also recognize that Hariri's alliance with political figures like the leader of the parliament Nabih Berri and the former deputy Walid Joumblatt qualified by Bassil as corrupt, is an alliance between the political forces and not an alliance with the system of corruption as it is called.

He should support Hariri in his attitude towards Hezbollah vis-à-vis the Gulf states, especially Saudi Arabia, and clearly criticize Hezbollah in this regard.

He should also not develop relations with Syrian President Bashar Assad, and not  declare his willingness to visit Damascus.

These are perhaps some of the conditions for Hariri to reopen a dialogue with the head of the CPL, the deputy Gebran Bassil, dialogue that Bassil wants it as soon as possible before the legislative elections, because it can reproduce a new presidential settlement which him opens the way to Baabda Palace.
