US President Joe Biden encountered technical problems operating the translation headset during an international meeting held at the White House.

This incident took place last Thursday during the first in attendance meeting between the leaders of the “Quadruple Security Dialogue” (Quad) countries, namely the United States, Australia, India and Japan.

At the conclusion of Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga's speech, Biden began taking notes in a notebook, and then appeared in him features of confusion as he looked at his watch and inspected the wire of the translation headset.

Then the US president asked a technical employee to reach him and addressed him by saying, pointing to the translation device, in front of the media’s lenses and without turning off the microphone: “I can’t turn that on at all.”

The employee proceeded to check the electronic device for an alleged defect, at which point the live broadcast of the meeting was cut off.
