German police checked a motorist who was carrying more than 910,000 euros in cash. The 48-year-old man, who was traveling from the Netherlands to Germany, is suspected of money laundering.

The forty-year-old of Lebanese nationality was checked on Wednesday not far from the German-Dutch border in the vicinity of Emmerich am Rhein (western Germany). When asked by officers if he had more than 10,000 euros in cash, the man denied. Moments later, however, they found bags full of money in the trunk of the car. Tickets were also found behind the car radio. The police confiscated the money.
