Killed during Israeli aggression

The town of Aitaroun in southern Lebanon held a mass funeral for 95 of its residents, including Hezbollah fighters and civilians, in the largest collective funeral in southern Lebanon.

The bodies had been temporarily buried in various locations across Lebanon during the war. Today, they were retrieved and reburied. Among them, 51 were Hezbollah members, while the rest included civilians, paramedics, and displaced families from Ayto, Al-Wardaniyeh, and Ain al-Dalb.

Five Hezbollah members remain missing.

The funeral was attended by several political figures and delegations from Iran, Iraq, and Yemen.

The coffins were placed on the roofs of four open-top buses that departed from the Sari shrine on the Adloun-Zahrani highway, passing through Burj Rahal, Ma’aroub, Srifa, Burj Qalawiyeh, Bir al-Salasel, Beit Yahoun, Kounine, Saf al-Hawa, Bint Jbeil, and finally reaching Aitaroun. Along the route, residents gathered in tribute, and in Aitaroun’s Martyrs' Square, tens of thousands of people from the town and neighboring villages filled the area to pay their respects.
