The minister of Displaced Affairs in the caretaker government, Essam Sharaf el-Din, stressed that "yesterday's cabinet session was not within the framework of the Constitution and the charter", saying: "it is not permissible to miss an essential Christian component in the country, and this is not acceptable.

Sharaf el-Din added in an interview with Sawt El Mada radio: "the urgent things that Mikati talked about in the extraordinary session, could have been accomplished through the so-called Mobile decrees, but he took advantage of the humanitarian issue and the needs of people to exercise his political schemes", pointing out that "the national solutions are to elect a president of the Republic first".

He continued: "Mikati does not want to cooperate with any serious file such as the IDP file or even the economic file, explaining that he is working to exploit what the Free Patriotic Movement has done with the Syrian state in order to return the displaced Syrians.

Sharaf el-Din said: "Mikati does not have no problem with the displaced, because he does not want to deprive of the funds of donor countries".

"Mikati should have held a discussion session before the Cabinet session, not after", he stressed.

"In very urgent cases, I have no problem attending the Cabinet meeting", Sharaf el-Din concluded.
